The first decade of the 21st Century, Switzerland changed. Not just disappeared as national shrines, Swissair and bank secrecy, but also classical virtues such as reliability, quality, loyalty and trust ceasing to be valuable supporters of the society. In their place came a one-sided economic orientation of the companies and, increasingly, the state, in a world that seemed to shrink permanently by new technologies. The term value fell to its financial importance and the authority of church and state decreased. Instead, the growing power of large corporations.
